Visibly vs AirOps: which AI visibility tool wins?
AirOps is a content-operations platform with AI-visibility tracking attached. Visibly makes citation measurement the core and pairs it with the off-page work that actually earns the answer.
Visibly and AirOps both touch AI search, from different directions. AirOps is a content-operations platform: its core is producing AI-optimized content at volume, with visibility tracking attached to the workflow. Visibly is built around the citation itself: it measures where AI cites you, then does the on-page and off-page work, including PR and community, that earns more citations.
Choose AirOps if your bottleneck is producing content at serious volume. Choose Visibly if your goal is winning AI citations and you want measurement, off-page work, and a done-for-you option in one loop.
- AirOps is content-production-first; visibility tracking is attached. Visibly is citation-first, with content as one lever among several.
- AirOps' free Solo plan tracks ChatGPT only; Visibly covers five engines on every paid plan.
- Visibly adds the off-page work, PR and community, that content volume alone does not earn.
- Both have a free tier; AirOps prices on content tasks, Visibly on the visibility outcome.

AirOps is a strong content-operations platform: its product is AI-optimized content production at volume (tasks are the currency), with AI-search visibility tracking attached to the workflow, and it counts growth teams at companies like Ramp and Webflow among its users. Visibly is the independent, founder-led alternative built around the citation itself, measurement plus the on-page and off-page work that earns it. Sources

What is an AI visibility tool, and why does it matter now?
An AI visibility tool tracks how generative AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity) describe and recommend brands when people ask buying questions. Instead of measuring where you rank on a page of blue links, it measures whether the model names you at all, how it ranks you against competitors, and which sources it pulls from to do so.
This matters because buyer behaviour has shifted. A growing share of research now starts with a single conversational answer, not a search results page. If the model doesn't mention you, you're not on a lower page. You're simply absent from the decision. Traditional rank trackers can't see this, which is why a new category of tools, including AirOps and Visibly, exists.
"AI visibility" is how often, how favourably, and how prominently AI assistants cite your brand when answering questions in your category.
- Citation rate
- Share of voice
- Sentiment and position
- Source authority
The practice of improving that visibility is called Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) or Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). It overlaps with SEO but plays by different rules: citations, source authority, structured content, and community presence matter more than keyword density.

Three places Visibly goes further
Citation-first, not content-first
AirOps optimizes for content output; visibility tracking is attached to the workflow, and its free Solo plan surfaces ChatGPT insights only. Visibly optimizes for the citation: it measures where every major model cites you, then works backward to the content, schema, and off-page presence that earns more. Volume is a lever, not the goal.
The off-page work content can't reach
AI answers are built as much from third-party sources, review sites, comparison pages, and communities, as from your own pages. AirOps produces your pages; Visibly also does the off-page work: PR pitches, listicle inclusion, and authentic community participation, the places a model actually reads. Publishing more of your own content does not, by itself, earn those.
One loop, measured by citation share
AirOps reports content output and opportunity reports; Visibly reports citation rate and share of voice against named competitors, and ties the work to that number in a closed loop. If the metric you care about is whether AI recommends you, Visibly measures and moves it directly rather than as a downstream effect of publishing.
A tracker tells you you're losing. Visibly helps you win.
- Track 100 prompts and pages (ChatGPT insights on Solo)
- Get monthly opportunity reports
- Spend content tasks producing pages at volume
- …earn the off-page citations some other way
- Watch content output, not citation share
- See exactly where you are cited today, and where you are not
- Get a prioritized list of why, and what to fix
- We produce the pages and earn the citations
- Watch citation rate move against your goals, weekly
- Compound: every win feeds the next month's plan
This page compares Visibly and AirOps on the capabilities that matter most for winning AI search: measurement coverage, data unification, action and execution, and commercial fit. Capability claims are based on each product's publicly available documentation and marketing as of July 2026, plus hands-on use of Visibly. We've kept AirOps's column conservative and fair. It is a capable measurement platform, and the differences here are about scope, not quality. AI tools evolve quickly; if anything is out of date, tell us and we'll correct it.

Visibly vs AirOps, answered
Is Visibly an AirOps alternative?
Partly, and partly a complement. AirOps is a content-operations platform; Visibly is an AI-visibility platform. If your goal is winning AI citations, Visibly is the alternative, because it measures citation share and does the on-page and off-page work. If your goal is producing content at volume, teams often keep AirOps and add Visibly for the citation loop.
What is the main difference between Visibly and AirOps?
AirOps is content-production-first, with visibility tracking attached; its free plan tracks ChatGPT only. Visibly is citation-first: it measures where every major model cites you across five engines, then does the content and, crucially, the off-page work (PR, listicles, community) that content volume alone does not earn.
Which AI engines do Visibly and AirOps track?
Visibly tracks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity plus Google AI Overviews on every paid plan. AirOps' free Solo plan surfaces ChatGPT insights only; multi-engine insights come on its Pro and higher tiers.
How much does AirOps cost compared to Visibly?
AirOps prices on content tasks (usage-based), starting free on Solo, and does not publish a flat monthly price for its higher tiers. Visibly starts at $49/mo, priced on the visibility outcome, with a free trial and a free audit to start.
Does AirOps do off-page work like PR and community?
No. AirOps focuses on content production. Visibly does the off-page work, PR pitches, listicle inclusion, and authentic community participation, that AI models read when they build an answer, in addition to on-page content.
Can I use Visibly and AirOps together?
Yes. A common setup is AirOps for high-volume content production and Visibly for citation measurement plus the off-page work, so you get scale on pages and a closed loop on the citations those pages are meant to earn.
